lyrics
picking up the glass for an hour a day
picking up the glass til i’m bleeding away
i am just the dirt at the end of the day
trying to find me’s like a needle in hay
and if i felt it in the wrong way
well, i surely wouldn’t know
like a mark i have on my arm
yeah, i surely wouldn’t know
but what i know for sure - it wasn’t mine
yeah, the blood all on the floor, it wasn’t mine
and i feel in all the wrong places
but the blood all on the floor, it wasn’t mine
it wasn’t mine

A fantastic album. I can see why they didn't continue under the name The Evens, as it's a different sound with the bass added. Coriky is the Evens + Joe Lally from Fugazi on bass. If you can imagine The Evens with a slightly more funky, aggressive sound like Fugazi... that's what you get! And there's no way that can ever go wrong. What a great debut album!! smiledozer

Simple unassuming lo-fi pop? Initially I thought so, but I’m not sure. There’s something deliberately artful and captivating in these compositions. They simply fill a musical space that’s been empty for a long long time. Gordon Frisbie
Longrunning Bay Area group Lunchbox draw on the hard-edged and stylish sound of 70s mod for their latest full-length. Bandcamp New & Notable Mar 23, 2024
Terrific jangle pop with an edge, somewhere between Television Personalities and R.E.M. with a bit of Kinks in there, too. Bandcamp New & Notable Nov 2, 2023
